  • Academy pdf

    Hello!

What do you, VSL, think about making the contents of your phenomenal "Academy" section available as a pdf download?

    Kind regards,
    Lukas

  • hi Lukas, indeed we are thinking of such an option!

however the structure of the academy (eg. playing techniques) would allow several combinations of "printing" the available content - let us think about that.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Hello, nice to hear that!

Your academy page is perfectly organized - it seems to me, that all the clickable links would, as they are, make a perfectly structured table of contents. As for the exemplary playing techniques... if it is too much of a hassle to embed the audio files into the pdf, a hyperlink to the respective page of your website would perfectly suffice.

I think it's a good idea - it was recommended to me, and so did I already on several occasions.
Plus, I'm a sucker for printed text; I like to look up things "hardware-wise" and it would fit perfectly among other books in my (and many other's) shelf(ves) about this matter.

    kind regards

  • Hello!

Since next year I'll have a course about orchestration/instrumentation at university, I felt like performing some necromancy on this thread here...

I'm sure such a "printable version" of your amazing Academy contents would come in very handy! :-)

    Kind regards,
    Lukas

  • A very good idea, because the content is very good!

I tried making separete PDFs of the website, but it doesn't work with the tab menu, thus it's a very tedious thing to do. And of course, the audio demos are missing.

I would appreciate an offline HTML version (including the audio demos). This would be an easy task, I think. :)

  • Thanks for sharing superb ideas.
