Hidden Harmonies seeks to raise public awareness of the unknown or little-known  historical works of female composers who were from or affiliated with Austria. Before now, this musical corpus has been performed – if at all – exclusively in small circles and is therefore not rooted in our collective musical memory. For the first time, these uncelebrated works are taking center stage.

20 years ago we released our first sample libraries and, to celebrate this anniversary, we were running a competition in collaboration with production music label 2nd Foundation Music. Congratulations to winning composer Paul Cohen! He signed a contract with 2nd Foundation Music who in October 2023 released a six-track orchestral album, recorded at Vienna Synchron Stage.

The great interest and numerous participants at the Day of Film Music at Vienna Synchron Stage have turned the event into an important forum for professional exchange and networking.

During the crash course by Herbert Tucmandl, CEO of Vienna Synchron Stage, attendees could gain insights into the budgeting and planning of orchestral recordings. Additionally, some impressions can be viewed in the gallery.
