  • SOLVED: eLicensor Error

I am unable to open DP8.05.  I'm getting the following message when loading screen hangs on "Gathering info for Vienna Instruments x64":

"An error has been signaled by the Protected Object Server:

File SYNSOACC.DLL could not be located in the Windows system folder."

A quick file search finds a synsoacc.dll in the windows folder in both 32 bit and 64 bit folders.  Not sure why elicenser doesn't want to see it.

I have downloaded the latest drivers on the eLicenser website (dated Nov 4 2013) and run all maintenance checks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi westlake79,

That sounds like some background processes are causing this conflict.

    Did you try a restart?

Also, please make sure you are using all the latest VSL Software as well.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

A little new to Windows, perhaps I can eliminate background processes?

I am currently running VE Pro 5.2.12808.  I have restarted multiple times.  Any other help would be great.

    THank you!

  • After speaking with Ilio tech support, we realized I had not updated Vienna Instruments for a very long time, I had only been updating VE Pro.  Apparently Vienna Instruments includes a free version of Ensemble that was causing this problem.

Just a reminder to all those who came to this post with eLicenser problems, make sure all software listed on your key is up to date!

    Thanks Paul for your help!
