The Vienna Ensemble Service is a separate application that runs in the background alongside your sequencer on your master computer.
Choose a descriptive name that gives you an overview right away. Alternatively, it will be auto-named "Untitled X".
The name of each instance is shown in the instance tab and on the right side of the menu bar.
Now you can add more instances by connecting from a new Vienna Ensemble plug-in in your DAW, load instrument plug-ins, and more, using the instrument menu in the lower left corner.
A right-click on any instance tab opens a context menu with additional options:
Set Color: Choose from all available system colors for channels and instances. Snap all instances will integrate all unsnapped instances back into the main frame.
The selected instance tab is always highlighted with a white frame.
As described in the QUICK START section before, you can ADD a new instance from the Vienna Ensemble Plug-in within your sequencer like this:
Insert Vienna Ensemble as a plug-in in a new track. Add multiple channels to access all MIDI Channels and MIDI Ports available with Vienna Ensemble!
A new instance will be created, you are connected right away.
