Offline installation is a good option if you have a slow internet connection or want to install your products on a computer that is not online.
Online Users: We highly recommend staying online - even if a Vienna Hard Drive is connected. You will benefit from comfortable options like automatic update notifications or access to the software archive.
Offline Users: If your system has no internet access or you prefer the Offline Mode of Vienna Assistant, you will see generic product pictures, and most options will not be available to you (due to a lack of online information).
However, you can still install your products as described below:
The Vienna Assistant will automatically detect a connected Vienna Hard Drive when starting the application. If the Vienna Assistant is already running, close it, connect your Vienna Hard Drive, and restart the app.
If you connect one of your drives containing installation data, assign it manually with the 'Scan' button under Preferences > General > Vienna Hard Drive.
Next, go to the main menu and choose 'Install from drive'
For Online users, the installation process will use already-available (local) installation files and will only download products unavailable on the connected drive.
You can also drag and drop a folder containing installation data directly onto the Vienna Assistant.
Important
Adding components to an already partially installed product (e.g., adding more microphone positions and a group of instruments) will automatically install those files in the existing product folder.
