When you are loading any legacy presets from the original Vienna Instruments, all used controllers will automatically be assigned in the Real-time Controller Area (and therefore also in the Controller Map page). So you can go right ahead and tweak your presets!
The Basic View of Vienna Instruments PRO will be a great substitute for the very first Vienna Instruments Interface, and you will like the fact that all controllers you assigned in your old presets show up immediately!
When you open any projects containing original Vienna Instruments instances, it's best to save the presets of all used instances as custom presets. This way you can easily open these presets in your new Vienna Instruments PRO instance. If you want to set your legatos to the "original" monophonic setting, please do so in the "Options" Tab (Interval Mode Mono/Poly).
Vienna Instruments PRO is integrated into Vienna Ensemble (PRO), as soon as it is installed .
It goes without saying tat all Vienna Ensemble PRO features such as Optimize and Master Tune also work with Vienna Instruments PRO.
Once you have installed Vienna Instruments PRO, a new icon for Vienna Instruments PRO will be introduced below the channel list in Vienna Ensemble (PRO). Click on this icon to generate a new instance of Vienna Instruments PRO.

Tip
Vienna Ensemble (PRO) lets you convert your projects (
*.viframe
files) from the original Vienna Instruments to Vienna Instruments PRO (see screenshot above) within Vienna Ensemble (PRO). Of course your Vienna Instruments PRO license needs to be available.
- If you assign multiple outputs to a Vienna Instruments PRO instance within Vienna Ensemble (PRO), you can create additional Input Channels in Vienna Ensemble PRO by clicking on the "+" button above the Output Button. In this case, I have assigned outputs 1+2, 3+4, 5+6, and 7+8 to different matrices within a channel called VI PRO 1.
- VI PRO 1 2: Outputs 3+4
- VI PRO 1 3: Outputs 5+6
- VI PRO 1 4: Outputs 7+8
